Enhancing passenger experience for Northern

We contracted Arriva TrainCare in Bristol to overhaul Northern’s Class 158 fleet.

The project commenced at the beginning of 2020 and all 32 units are scheduled for completion by early 2022.
The 15-day unit downtime for the routine Heavy Maintenance includes continued service operation and enhancement works. We are also working with our customer Northern Trains to engage Arriva TrainCare to carry out additional refresh works on some of the units on their behalf.
The combination of work being performed at the same time requires extensive collaboration, planning and a strong focus on the robustness of specifications and pricing to ensure the requirements are fully understood and value is delivered to our customer.
