About the role:

An IT Developer at Angel Trains is primarily responsible for providing application development services and 2nd line support for our internal Fleet Management Systems and portal modules as well as wider industry-based asset management systems.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for the integration of our internal systems with non-asset-based business applications such as Oracle EBS and Hyperion. As business requirements change the role will also be responsible for assisting in the development and delivery of new or modified features of software applications.

What will you be doing?

  • Developing and maintaining a Blazor-based web applications using C# and .NET.
  • Collaborating with the wider team during Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, etc.).
  • Working closely with product owners to understand requirements and deliver user-focused features.
  • Continuously writing clean, testable and maintainable code.
  • Participating in code reviews and contributing to continuous improvement.

What do we need from you?

  • Proven experience with C# and .NET development is a must alongside knowledge of SQL servers.
  • Experience working alongside successful project teams in a commercial environment and an understanding of Agile/Scrum practices.
  • Knowledge of Rest API’s.
  • Good communication, teamworking and prioritisation skills.
  • Experience with Git.
  • Hands-on experience with Blazor (Server or WebAssembly) would be desirable but is also something we are happy to teach.
  • Experience with GitHub DevOps or CI/CD pipelines as well as familiarity with testing frameworks (xUnit, bUnit, etc.) would also be desirable.
